A wonderful educational institution nestled in the rural district of Church Village is the St. Philip's Primary School which caters to students from ages 3 to 11 plus. The curriculum offerings include for all students not only the usual Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Religious Education, Health & Family Life and Visual & Performing Arts, but students also learn Spanish, Music as well as Information Technology. St. Philip's Primary offers the kind of education which embraces 21st century technology. Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a school of excellence by raising the level of academic achievement. This will be accomplished through the use of cutting- edge technology and diverse teaching strategies which cater to the varied learning styles of students. Students’ challenges will be diagnosed, remediation provided, while special programmes and extra-curricular activities aimed at raising the self-esteem of students, creating critical thinkers as well as fostering students’ physical, emotional and social development will be mandated. In addition, opportunities will be created to engage parents and other members of the community to play a pivotal role in the pursuit and attainment of the goals of our school.

Female Uniforms
All students from nursery to Infants B
Both boys and girls must wear the school’s crest. This crest must be placed on the left breast of the boys’ and girls’ uniform. The crest can be attached with velcro or it can be stitched in place by the dressmaker
Infant girls
Corded red check and blue check with white socks and black shoes. Checkered a-line with sailor cape which ends in a point at the front with a woggle, made from the same material, to make the two points look like a tie. The cape has white rick-rack braid all the way to the point. The front opens right down the middle with medium white buttons. The back is seamless. A matching puff legged panty or shorts is to be worn underneath.
All students from Class 1 to Class 4

Junior girls
Navy Blue low waist dress trimmed with blue check. White socks and black shoes are to be worn. Girls’ Uniform: Navy blue low waist dress with band on hips and three box pleats at both front and back. The dress has a sailor cape collar at the back with round edges to the front. The collar is trimmed with blue check. The sleeves are shirt sleeves with blue check one inch from the edge. (The blue check is cut on the bias.) The front opens down the middle to the waistband with medium, white fish buttons. (Use no more than five buttons) There is a detachable tie at the front from the top of the first button. (This should measure no more than six and a half inches at the point). The tie has a blue check half-inch strip. (This strip should be diagonal from left to right at an angle). An inside pocket should be included on the left side. A matching puff legged panty or shorts is to be worn underneath. Material for girls’ uniform –Navy Blue Polylinen
Male Uniforms
Infant boys
Corded red check shirt jacks and blue check shirt jacks, khaki pants and socks and black shoes. The shirt jack has three pockets, one on the left breast and two at the bottom of the shirt, one on the left and one on the right. A box pleat is on each pocket. It opens with a collar to the front.
