The boys and girls were separated in 1896. The female pupils were sent to Hall's Road. Wright's Girls School was the new school. By 1915 another building was erected at School Gap because of over crowding. The building was again expanded in 1934. In 1976 a more modern building at Hamelt's Gap Hindsbury Road, the present location was created. The new school opened on 11th October 1976.

School Song

Hear us Lord as we today,
Blessings on our school do pray.
And our voices humbly raise,
Thank thee for our school so fair,
For those who helped to place it here.
Bless its work that we may be
Products pleasing, Lord, to thee.

Bless the walls that stand so tall,
Through thy grace they will not fall.
Bless the classrooms that within,
We'll strive to learn and not to sin.
Bless the doors that open wide,
Enter Lord and do preside.
That in peace and love we'll dwell,
And our talents exploit well.

Bless our parents to us dear,
Make them mindful of our care.
Bless our teachers, to them give
Wisdom to guide us how to live.
Bless all those who in some way,
Serve us all from day to day.
May we in our lives below,
One day to our Saviour show
That we in high steps have trod,
And are ready for our God
