George Lamming is a co-educational primary school that caters to students ranging from 4-11 years of age. We aim on creating a safe an engaging learning environment for our students. We were opened for instruction September 2nd, 2008 but was officially opened January 23rd, 2009 as an amalgamation of two now defunct schools: Erdiston Primary and Carrington's Primary. It is appropriately named after an outstanding Barbadian role model Professor George Lamming.

Our motto reflects our understanding and beliefs through which we aim to ensure that all the students are provided with high quality learning experiences based on a broad and balanced curricula that will enrich them as life long learners who will participate and contribute to the global world and practise the core values of the school, namely, respect, tolerance, inclusion and excellence.

Mission Statement

To establish and maintain a stimulating environment which will ultimately produce well disciplined, creative, critical thinking life-long learners who will contribute positively to the society.

There are ten (10) Heads of Departments and six (6) Year Heads with responsibilities for Form Levels 1-6.

STUDENTS

There are five forms at year levels 1 to 5. Each year level is managed by a Senior Teacher.

SPORTS

Various sports including athletics, badminton, cricket, football, hockey, netball and volleyball.

Activities include Band, draughts, etiquette, choir and I.S.C.F.
