The Eden Lodge Nursery School was a gift from the Jaycees of Barbados to the government of Barbados. The, school was officially opened by the then Minister of Education, the Honourable Erskine Sandiford on September 9, 1975.
The Parent Teacher Association held its first meeting on October 9, 1975.
For the first five years students attended school during the morning session only. In 1980, the shift system was ntroduced so that more children would benefit from the quality programme. Sixty children attended school during the morning and afternoon sessions.
During the period 1999-2006, a small percentage of the students were enrolled in the morning or afternoon sessions while the majority attended school for the whole day. In September 2006, the shift system was discontinued and the school became a whole day institution.

Lord, we thank you for this day
Every moment of our way
You have safely brought us here
You have shown your love and care
Give us grace that we may live
Every naughtiness forgive
Make us yours forevermore
In our hearts your love may pour
So that when we leave this school
We may not forget the rule
Share with everyone we meet
Your dear love in whom we greet
